Nursing Staff

Beth

Beth started with St Boniface in 2021 as our student vet nurse. She loves the inpatient care and giving lots of extra cuddles. Beth has now started her nurse training at Bicton College.

Beth loves all types of animals, having had plenty of experience of looking after all the pets on her families small holding.

Caroline Jones

Caroline qualified as a RVN back in 2000 and has sinced gained her ECC certificate, RCVS advanced diploma and BSc hons in Clinical Veterinary Nursing.   Most recently she has been working as a locum working in a wide range of positions and practices all over the country before heading home to Devon.  She enjoys most of the varied roles which veterinary nursing offers but has a particular interest in Emergency and critical care and Anaesthesia.

Caroline became a member of the night nurse team in February 2024 and is enjoying the different challenges that night work presents.

Justina

Justina joined the St Boniface nursing team in November 2022 as an animal nursing assistant. Previously Justina worked in a busy veterinary clinic in London but wanted to return to her countryside routes in West Devon.
Justina is responsible for ensuring all of our patients are happy and settled in the clinic. Her role is varied from walking dogs, holding patients for blood sampling and ultra sound scanning, assisting our rehab vets and of course, plenty of cuddles.

Holly

Holly joined the practice in May this year as an Animal Nursing Assistant.  She has started the Animal Nursing Assistant Course at Bicton College with a plan to then go onto do Veterinary Nursing.

In Holly's spare time you will find her  busy on the farm in the calf shed feeding and nursing the calves. She also enjoys doing agility with her Collie dog Millie.

Laura

Laura has been working in a Veterinary setting since 2014 and qualified as an RVN in Dec 2019. Over the past few years, she has developed an interest in anaesthesia protocols and monitoring and she enjoys the daily challenges and problem solving that they bring to the role. At home, Laura’s pets include Buck the spaniel, Scout the cat and Roger the cockerel plus his hens, Maggie May, Mrs Robinson and Penny Lane. In her spare time Laura is kept busy by her young daughter, but when she does get a moment, she likes to play the guitar, and binge watch a good TV series.

Abby

Abby qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2017, before this she completed her extended diploma in animal management at Bicton College. She joined the St Boniface team in May 2021 having previously worked in practices that treated a whole variety of animals including small, large and exotic species. 

Abby enjoys all aspects of the job but her key interest is radiography (x-rays).

Outside of work she enjoys exploring the countryside with her cocker spaniel Cleo, reading and catching up with family and friends. 

Belinda

Belinda has been the kennel assistant here at St Boniface Vets since August 2018. In 2020 she completed her Animal Nursing Certificate through Bicton College. Belinda has now started her student nurse training at Bicton college

Belinda enjoys all aspects of her role but particularly enjoys inpatient care and making the pets stay less stressful.

At home Belinda enjoys walking her young border collie Nova and catching up with friends.

Sammi

Sammi qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2015.  She also completed an Animal Nursing Assistant qualification at Bicton College in 2010. 

She enjoys looking after all sorts of animals and finds caring for them very rewarding.

In her spare time, she sometimes goes out to see her deaf friends at a local deaf club and learns sign language. 

Sadie

Sadie qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2004 after studying at Bicton College.

She has always worked in Mixed Practice and enjoys the variety of patients that brings.

In her spare time, Sadie enjoys running and riding her horse Rowan. 

Leanne

Leanne qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2018. Before that she was a trainee veterinary nurse here at St Boniface and trained at Bicton College. Leanne is familiar with Bicton, as she obtained her extended diploma in animal management and qualified as an animal nursing assistant (ANA) in 2014.
She enjoys helping Jane with the hydrotherapy and seeing all the on going cases.

Leanne has four family dogs, who love their walks, especially, her Newfoundland, Molly. She has also recently acquired two cats - Albie and Marley.
