Caring for Your Pet’s Well-being: Consultation and Routine Care
We love seeing our patients, but we know visits can be stressful for your pets. That’s why we focus on balancing the need for medical care with the comfort of your pet.
Consultations: When to Visit the Vet
For serious, sudden, or chronic conditions, early and frequent vet visits are crucial. Regular check-ins help us adjust treatments and catch issues early. However, for less serious conditions, like humans, pets often benefit more from rest and time to heal. While our Lifetime Care Club Extra plan includes unlimited consultations, our vets will guide you on the ideal frequency of visits to ensure your pet’s well-being without unnecessary stress. We reserve the right to refuse appointments that are, in our vets opinion, not in the best interests of your pet.
Nail Clipping and Anal Gland Care
Nail clipping and anal gland expression are included in both our plans. For most pets, these procedures can be stressful, so it is not beneficial to do these more than is absolutely necessary. Moderately overgrown nails typically cause no discomfort, and our team will advise if a nail needs attention. If your pet’s anal glands require frequent expression (more than two to three times a year), it may indicate an underlying issue, and we recommend consulting one of our vets.
