Meet the Team - Nursing Staff

Sarah

Head Nurse (Registered VN, RSQP)

Sarah qualified as a Nurse in 2006, she leads the Veterinary Nurse team here at St Boniface. She is responsible for training our student nurses while in the clinic.

Her main interests are surgical nursing, in house laboratory testing and anaesthesia. She hosts our puppy parties once a month and enjoys watching the transformation from cheeky pups to adored family pets!

Outside of work Sarah can be found exploring the beautiful Devon countryside with her Labrador Tarn.

Sadie

Veterinary Nurse (Registered VN)

Sadie qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2004 after studying at Bicton College.

She has always worked in Mixed Practice and enjoys the variety of patients that brings.

In her spare time, Sadie enjoys running, riding and competing on her horse - Rowan.

Sammi

Veterinary Nurse (Registered VN)

Sammi qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2015.  She also completed an Animal Nursing Assistant qualification at Bicton College in 2010. 

She enjoys looking after all sorts of animals and finds caring for them very rewarding.

In her spare time, she sometimes goes out to see her deaf friends at a local deaf club and learns sign language.  She also enjoys exploring the countryside with her dog - Poppy.

Leanne

Veterinary Nurse (Registered VN)

Leanne qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2018. Before that she was a trainee veterinary nurse here at St Boniface and trained at Bicton College. Leanne is familiar with Bicton, as she obtained her extended diploma in animal management and qualified as an animal nursing assistant (ANA) in 2014.
She enjoys helping Jane with the hydrotherapy and seeing all the on going cases.

Leanne has four family dogs, who love their walks, especially, her Newfoundland, Molly. She has also recently acquired two cats - Albie and Marley.  

Olivia

Veterinary Nurse (Registered VN)

Olivia (Liv) joined the team in December 2020 when she relocated back to the countryside after working as part of a referral team at a busy hospital in Exeter. She has a BSc Hons in Animal Science and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2019.

At work, Olivia enjoys caring for the inpatients and has key interests in medical nursing.

Outside of work, she enjoys finding new walks to explore with her Goldendoodle 'Artie' and is currently spending a lot of time renovating her new home with her partner.

Abby

Veterinary Nurse (Registered VN)

Abby qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2017, before this she completed her extended diploma in animal management at Bicton College. She joined the St Boniface team in May 2021 having previously worked in practices that treated a whole variety of animals including small, large and exotic species. 

Abby enjoys all aspects of the job but her key interest is radiography (x-rays).

Outside of work she enjoys exploring the countryside with her cocker spaniel Cleo, reading and catching up with family and friends. 

Lois

Animal Nursing Assistant

Lois has been part of the team here at St Boniface Vets since August 2019. She qualified as an Animal Nursing Assistant in July 2019 after studying at Bicton College. Her role here includes assisting the vets and nurses with inpatients, making sure health and hygiene in the consult rooms, kennels and cattery is kept to the highest possible standards, spending time over at the Tedburn practice on reception, and helping Jane in Hydrotherapy.

She also helps to organise the puppy parties that are held at the practice once every 2 weeks, and one of her favourite parts of being here with us at St Boniface is meeting all different animals that come into the practice every day! In the future, she looks forward to becoming a registered veterinary nurse.

Outside of work, Lois enjoys going out on dog walks, going to concerts and musicals, and singing. She also has two cats, Timmy and Belle.

Belinda

Animal Nursing Assistant

Belinda has been the kennel assistant here at St Boniface Vets since August 2018. In 2020 she completed her Animal Nursing Certificate through Bicton College so she is now a qualified Animal Nursing Assistant (ANA). Her role includes cleaning the kennels, looking after the in-patients, answering the phones and assisting the vets and nurses and now also helping vets with consultations. 

She is looking forward to becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse in the future.

Amongst studying, Belinda enjoys walking her dog, baking, and going to the cinema with friends and family.

An interesting fact about Belinda is that her mum is Tina, the practice manager!
