Healthy Horse Club Terms and Conditions


Prevention is better than cure! The Healthy Horse Club covers the main preventative health issues of your horse to ensure a long and happy life. The Healthy Horse Club does not cover treatment for unexpected illnesses or accidents – you will need an insurance policy to be covered for these eventualities.

Please refer to the leaflet to confirm what is included in the Healthy Horse Club package you have chosen. It is your responsibility to ensure that you receive the all the benefits included in the Healthy Horse Club.

On signing up you will receive a worming pack that includes:

  • 6 Small faecal pots to bring your worm egg count (WEC) samples in (we require 2 filled pots for each sample)
  • 2 x Tapeworm Saliva test, including the unique barcode and pre-paid envelope to send away. If the tests indicate worming treatment is required this will be at an extra cost. 

You will receive a text when it is time to bring the WEC kits in to the surgery. These need to be handed in by 4pm in order for the laboratory to run the tests. The results will be reported within 2 working days.

You will also receive a text when it is time to carry out the Saliva test. The test is a complete package with saliva sticks to send away yourself. The results are then emailed back to the surgery and we will report directly to yourselves. These results can take up to 10 working days.

On the Leisure plans, the annual booster and oral examination will be carried out at one visit all included on the plan.

The Competition plans, Includes two visits a year;

  • The first to carry out a flu booster, full oral exam, soundness exam and the annual blood screen. The blood screen is for baseline levels only. They are carried out in house and any further testing will be chargeable.
  • The second to carry out the second flu booster, and 6 monthly soundness check.

Health plans are non-transferable between horses.

All Healthy Horse Club plans are payable by an annual or monthly payment via direct debit only.

Any treatment required on the worming program will be dispensed under your account with St Boniface Veterinary Clinic. It is your responsibility to collect from one of our surgeries. We can arrange postage of some items at an additional cost.

All reminders for worming, boosters and 6 monthly health checks will be sent via text message.

All Healthy Horse Club plans automatically renew, as you pay by direct debit, we will send you a renewal notice showing the amount that will be collected for the next 12 months.  Should you wish not to renew, you will need to notify us in writing at least 10 days before the end of your contract.



You may cancel the HEALTHY HORSE CLUB plan by telephoning or writing to us. As you pay by Direct Debit, you must tell your bank to cancel the Direct debit instruction. If you direct debit is returned unpaid by your bank or a direct debit instruction is cancelled and a new direct debit instruction is not set up immediately the HHC will be deemed to be cancelled.

If the Healthy Horse Club plan is cancelled during the annual contract, we will charge you for any goods received under the Healthy Horse Club, plus the cancellation fees, but any payments you have already made towards the Healthy Horse Club will be offset against the charges.

Should the cancellation result in a balance owing to St Boniface Veterinary Clinic, an invoice will be sent to you and payment will become due immediately. No credit will be given if the cost of goods received is less that the amount paid by a direct debit at the time of cancellation.


We use Easy Direct Debits Limited to collect Direct Debits on our behalf, and your bank statements will show a payment to Easy Direct Debits on behalf of St Boniface Veterinary Clinic. For the avoidance of doubt, your agreement is with St Boniface Veterinary Clinic Ltd. Easy Direct Debits Limited merely provide support to the practice, which includes transferring your payments.

Easy Direct Debits Limited and St Boniface Veterinary Clinic will hold and use your personal data (as defined by UK data protection laws) for the purpose of administering your preventative healthcare plan. 

Both St Boniface Veterinary Clinic and Easy Direct Debits Ltd may record and monitor inbound and outbound telephone calls for training purposes. These calls may also be referred to in relation to any future queries.

We will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the security of your data. Your data will not be shared with anyone else unless there is a legal requirement for us to do so.

You have the right to see your personal data. If you have any queries about the data we hold, or how we use it, please write to either St Boniface Veterinary Clinic, St Boniface Veterinary Clinic, Exeter Road, Crediton, Devon, EX17 3BN or Easy Direct Debits Limited, 99 Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth BH8 8DY.

This Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits.

If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit, St Boniface Veterinary Clinic Ltd will notify you 10 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request St Boniface Veterinary Clinic Ltd to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request.
If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit by St Boniface Veterinary Clinic Ltd or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society.

If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay back when St Boniface Veterinary Clinic Ltd asks you to. You can cancel the Direct Debit at any time, by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify us.

The terms and conditions of this Contract may be varied on one month’s written notice given to you by your practice. If you do not wish the Contract to continue having regard to any variation notified to you, you may end the contact. If you do not do this by the time the notice expires, you will be deemed to have accepted the variation.
