Dental pain is often underestimated by pet owners. Often we assume animals will stop eating if their mouth hurts. This will sometimes occur in extreme pain but most animals continue to eat, even with severe dental pain, as eating is such a strong survival instinct.
Other symptoms may include bad breath, dribbling, eating more slowly – or they may show no outward signs at all.
We are offering free dental checks with a vet between 21st and 25th July to assess the state of your pet’s oral health.
If dental disease exists, we can discuss with you all the different preventative and treatment options available. This may include diet and tooth brushing (it isn’t as hard as it sounds!) and possibly, where necessary, treatment under anaesthesia.
So do come on in for a free consultation and have a chat with one of our friendly vets! Please call 01363 772860 to book your consultation or email us here, as spaces are limited,
