We are extremely proud of the trust we build between our professional staff and clients and their pets, with compassionate care and clear communication. Take a look at what some of our wonderful clients have to say about their experience at the St Boniface Vets practice.
Jane has been absolutely brilliant helping my dog Beulah regain her mobility after injury. Her knowledge, compassion and empathy is second to none. I would thoroughly recommend her if you are looking for rehabilitation therapies for your dog.
Beulah owner – Karen Ritchie
Jane has been absolutely wonderful in helping my Bichon Frise, Max, regain strength and mobility. Max developed back leg weakness associated with Cushing’s Disease, alongside arthritis-related stiffness and loss of muscle strength. Through Jane’s expert care, including hydrotherapy, manual therapy, electrotherapy (laser treatment) and acupuncture, Max has made significant progress and I believe his quality of life has improved as a result.
Jane’s knowledge as a veterinary surgeon, physiotherapist and hydrotherapist is evident in the thoughtful, tailored approach she takes with Max. Not only has she helped improve his mobility and back leg strength, but she has also supported his overall comfort and confidence.
I truly can’t recommend Jane highly enough. Her skill, dedication and genuine care for her patients make an enormous difference.

Clare, Alice and the equine team are always professional, friendly and practical. Calm in an emergency and clear with diagnosis and treatment. They have looked after my horses from foals to veterans and I completely trust their expertise and advice. They are happy to answer my stupid questions and provide reassurance. The office staff are also helpful, knowledgeable and efficient making everything run smoothly. Being an independent practice also means the charges are reasonable.

We can’t thank Katherine enough for the incredible care she gave our pointer, Olive! After struggling with stiffness, lameness, and discomfort, Olive could barely manage short walks before starting to limp. Thanks to Katherine’s expert physio treatments, including a combination of laser and hydrotherapy, Olive made amazing progress. Every session was tailored to Olive’s needs, and now she’s back to her energetic self, enjoying full days of activity! Katherine continues to see Olive for maintenance checks, ensuring she stays in top form. We highly recommend Katherine for her knowledge, compassionate care, and personalised treatment approach!

Sylvie, and now Tony and the team have always looked after our precious family pets. The caring and compassion starts the minute you walk through the door. The vets are first class and are supported by a hardworking and very friendly team of staff. I always recommend St Boniface to anyone I hear is looking for a vets. Hope you continue going from strength to strength.
Willow’s owner – Keith Baker
A fabulous veterinary clinic. They look after my babies so well. I know it’s a half hour drive each way but I wouldn’t change to a more local vet as they have always been there for me and my pets (& so caring when it comes to saying goodbye to a loved one).’
Missy & Maisie’s Owner – Susan Blakey
Bonnie was looked after so incredibly well by all the staff at St.Boniface when she suffered a rare illness – they supported us so much in helping care for Bonnie when she was temporarily paralysed. Thanks especially to Kate and Jane (rehab physio) – for their dedication. We wouldn’t take out dogs anywhere else.
Bonnie’s Owner – Mrs Smith
Arto came in to see vet Ben recently for his annual vaccinations. Ben is always brilliant with Arto, after lots of attention and some treats, the vaccinations and check up were over in no time. All the staff are very friendly and helpful everytime we visit and Arto loves meeting other pets in the waiting room.
Arto’s Owner – Miss Delve
As dog breeders as well as pet owners, we’re busy! It’s great to have the convenience of our flea and worm treatments being delivered to the door, regular as clockwork; penny for penny, it works out cheaper than buying them straight from the vet, and combined with the vaccinations and discounts on dentals (we’ve used that a few times) it’s a good deal financially as well as being hassle free.
But for us, the biggest benefit is the consultations. Sometimes your pet can seem a bit off colour, and you think it would be reassuring to take him to the vet; but then you think of the consultation fee, and perhaps you just don’t go. But this way, you can go every single time you’re a bit unsure, and never have to pay up as it’s already covered. We find this hugely comforting. And one more thing – it’s all the same price for our St Bernard as for our shih tzus! What is there not to love!”

My Springer spaniel Molly developed glaucoma in January and we were advised it was too bad to continue trying to save the eye as she had lost all vision and was at Risk of retinal prolapse. Sadly we opted to remove the eye but all the staff at the practice were so friendly and helpful and Molly was so at ease we had no worries. After 3 weeks recovery she was completely back to normal acting a loon and running everywhere like nothing has happened. She is now fully recovered and looks so well as you can see by the photo and that’s all the credit to the vets who treated her. Would definitely recommend these vets everytime. Thank you so much x

Ben, our 9 year old Labrador had been showing intermittent signs of lameness, which I’m thrilled to say has been successfully treated by Kathryn and her team … can’t recommend them highly enough

Clare and her team have provided exceptional veterinary care for my horses in Devon for more than 20 years. Their approach is consistently professional, compassionate, and thorough, ensuring my horses’ wellbeing at every stage of life—from foaling, to managing performance‑related lameness, to offering dignified end‑of‑life care.
The veterinary team is supported by an efficient and responsive administrative staff who reliably communicate updates and manage medications without oversight. Throughout every interaction, they listen carefully and tailor their care to each horse’s needs, all at a fair and reasonable cost.
They are, without question, the finest equine veterinary practice in Devon.

Had Sam out to see our 2 ponies and there are not enough words to convey how impressed I was with the visit. Calm, kind, incredibly patient and took time to really explain everything. I have always been very pleased with all the vets at the practice but was particularly impressed on this occasion 😊
