What if I have an emergency?

We offer an emergency service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We ask that all clients call to let us know you are on your way, we appreciate the priority is getting here but it helps us prepare any equipment or medications that might be needed prior to your arrival, and staff ready for you meaning we can start saving your pet sooner.

All emergencies are seen at our Crediton surgery.

What if it’s out of hours?

Call our usual number as you normally would during normal hours, you will get through to one of our clinical team who will be able to help you – we cover our own out of hours, you will never get through to a call centre. Out of hours appointments are charged at £165.02, plus any medications or treatment necessary.

If your pet needs overnight care with us, we always have a vet on call and a Veterinary Nurse from our incredible night team here on site to provide them with the care they need.

How do I pay for my appointment?

Payment is required for any consultation, surgery, treatment or medication at the time. We accept all major debit and credit cards (Excluding American Express) and cash. We can also send you an apple pay link through Petsapp.

My pet is insured, how do I claim on my insurance?

Insurance companies have different processes, we recommend you check on your insurance company’s website for details of how to claim. Some you login and submit via an online portal, some still require a form, which you can then send to us to complete our section. We can do direct claims with some insurers, we just ask you to pay your excess at the time of treatment, and we can claim the rest. If you are insured with someone who we aren’t able to do a direct claim with, you can settle your account with us, and the insurer will reimburse you directly, minus your excess.

Do you offer a preventative healthcare plan?

Yes we do! We have two plans:

Lifetime Care Club Essentials – covers annual vaccinations, flea, worm and tick cover, Cats: £16 a month, Dogs £21 a month

Lifetime Care Club Extra – includes consultations! Only £30 a month!

Can I request a written prescription?

Of course! Written prescriptions can be requested via PetsApp or phone. These are charged at £18.91, or £24.16 for a schedule 3 medication. Any additional items requested at the same time for the same pet are charged at £9.48. We are unable to send you a written prescription directly to you – when you place your order online, send us the companies email address and your order number and we will send them the prescription directly. This is under guidance from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, to prevent duplicate use with different online companies.

How can I provide feedback on your services?

We are continuously reviewing the services and treatments we provide. We welcome feedback from all clients at anytime – message us on PetsApp or email us on info@stbonifacevets.co.uk. We would love to hear from you!
