Due to our ever-growing practice and client base, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our friendly team as a Veterinary Administrator at our modern, well equipped practice in Crediton.

The chosen candidate will be an experienced administrator with proven organisational skills. The Veterinary Administrator will be able to take on responsibility, show initiative and pay close attention to detail whilst being able to work under pressure. They will also have a strong work ethic with a drive to succeed. It is important that the candidate has outstanding communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships. * Full training will be provided. *

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

+ Acting as point of contact to all our clients - Small Animal, Farm and Equine.

+ Meeting and greeting our clients and their pets in our busy Reception area.

+ Liaising with clients with regards to appointments and coordinating these on to our practice management system and various other IT systems via phone, face to face and email.

+ Coordinating all communication between clients and vets and ensuring the appropriate actions are taken.

+ Advise clients on numerous endo- and ecto- parasite treatments, health plans, insurance and basic nutrition.

+ Cash handling

+ Complying with GDPR regulations and client confidentiality.

+ Filing, scanning and other various administration duties.

 

This is a part time post and will be 22.5 hours per week. Monday, Tuesday and Friday with Saturdays on a rota basis. This position will include both 08:30 starts and 18:30 finishes. The salary will be £8.40 per hour.
